Nd\u0451rkoh\u0451, tek studionte filozofin\u0451 kristiane dhe njihej me qytet\u0451rimin evropian, m\u0451ndja e tij rrinte n\u0451 Shqip\u0451ri e ve\u00e7an\u0451risht n\u0451 Mirdit\u00eb, v\u0451ndlindjen e tij, mar\u00ebdh\u00ebniet e s\u00eb cil\u00ebs m\u00eb Port\u00ebn e lart\u00eb sa vinte e keq\u00ebsoheshin. Kishte d\u00ebshtuar kryengritja e Mirdit\u00ebs e vitit 1862 dhe Porta e Lart\u0451 synonte ta zhdukte me \u00e7do kusht autonomin\u0451 e saj. Prend Do\u00e7i u kthye n\u0451 atdhe, n\u0451 vitin 1871, pas p\u0451rfundimit t\u0451 studimeve dhe nisi pun\u0451n n\u0451 Abacin\u0451 e Oroshit, pran\u0451 Gasp\u0451r Krasniqit. Abat Krasniqi kishte qen\u0451 frym\u0451zuesi dhe organizuesi i kryengritjes t\u0451 vitit 1862. Prej tij Prend Do\u00e7i u informua me holl\u0451si p\u0451r kryengritjen dhe ve\u00e7an\u0451risht arsyet e d\u0451shtimit t\u0451 saj. Nj\u00ebkoh\u00ebsisht m\u0451soi se n\u00eb krahin\u0451 vazhdonin t\u0451 em\u0451roheshin klerik\u0451 t\u0451 huaj t\u0451 cil\u0451t luanin nj\u0451 rol shum\u0451 negativ n\u0451 popull, duke predikuar n\u0451nshtrim ndaj autoriteteve osmane. Q\u0451 nga f\u0451mij\u0451ria, i kishte mbetur n\u0451 kujtes\u0451 q\u0451 edhe n\u0451 Bulgrin ku kish lindur, njer\u0451zit ankoheshin q\u0451 prifti nuk fliste shqip. Gjendja qe b\u0451r\u0451 edhe m\u0451 keq. Pik\u0451risht shqet\u0451simi p\u0451r em\u0451rimin e nj\u0451 prifti t\u0451 huaj, n\u0451 Kalivare, e detyroi abat Kransiqin ta d\u0451rgonte atje Prend Do\u00e7in, edhe pse kish nevoj\u0451 p\u0451r ndihm\u0451n e tij n\u0451 Orosh. Prend Do\u00e7i qe nd\u0451rgjegj\u0451suar se puna e tij nuk do t\u0451 kufizohej kurr\u0451 vet\u0451m p\u0451rreth grigj\u0451s s\u0451 tij, por shum\u0451 m\u0451 p\u0451rtej. Kur n\u00eb 1877 filloi kryengritja n\u0451 Mirdit\u0451 frym\u0451zuesi dhe organizuesi i saj qe vet\u0451 ai, Prend Do\u00e7i. Meshtari i ri ndoqi gjurm\u0451t e Abat Krasniqit dhe kryengritja ishte vazhdim i asaj t\u00eb vitit 1862, por m\u0451 e gj\u0451r\u0451 e m\u0451 popullore. Ai i kushtoi v\u0451mendje lidhjes s\u0451 bes\u0451s n\u0451 mes t\u0451 12 bajrak\u0451ve t\u0451 Mirdit\u0451s, dhe n\u0451 krye t\u0451 saj nuk ishte vet\u0451m nj\u0451 njeri(si n\u0451 1862) por krer\u0451t e 12 bajrak\u0451ve dhe Prend Do\u00e7i qe k\u0451shilltari i tyre. Prend Do\u00e7i e p\u0451rfytyronte Mirdit\u0451n si qend\u0451r t\u0451 kryengritjes, dhe \u00e7lirimi nga Perandoria Osmane do t\u0451 fillonte prej saj, s\u0451 pari, e pastaj do t\u0451 p\u0451rhapej n\u0451 t\u0451r\u0451 Shqip\u0451rin\u0451 kur t\u0451 arrihej \u00e7lirimi i gjith\u0451 atdheut, vet\u0451 populli t\u0451 zgjidhte form\u0451n e qeverimit, mbret\u0451ri apo republik\u0451. Frym\u0451zuesi dhe luft\u0451tari i kryengritjes, prifti me veladon, i armatosur si luft\u0451tar i liris\u0451, nga nj\u0451 krahin\u0451 n\u0451 tjetr\u0451n p\u0451r t\u2019ja arritur bashkimit. Kleriku linte mbresa tek njer\u0451zit, si burr\u0451 i kuvendit, i bes\u0451s dhe i pushk\u0451s. Nga Shkodra kishte siguruar mb\u0451shtetjen e nj\u0451 grupi atdhetar\u0451sh, n\u0451 mes t\u0451 cil\u0451ve Zef Jubanin, e nd\u0451rkoh\u0451 mbante lidhje t\u0451 ngushta me mikun e tij Jeronim De Rad\u0451n. Arb\u0451resh\u0451t kishin krijuan nj\u0451 komitet n\u0451 ndihm\u00eb t\u00eb kryengritjes. Dora D\u2019istria, nga ana e saj, b\u0451nte t\u0451 njohur n\u0451 Evrop\u0451 z\u0451rin e kryengrit\u0451sve.\u00a0N\u0451 Korrik t\u0451 1876, Porta e lart\u0451 kishte k\u0451rkuar q\u0451 Mirdita t\u0451 d\u0451rgonte vullnetar\u0451 kund\u0451r Malit t\u0451 Zi. Duke ndjekur k\u0451shill\u0451n e Prend Do\u00e7it, krer\u0451t e bajraqeve e refuzuan k\u0451t\u0451 k\u0451rkes\u0451, n\u0451 t\u0451 kund\u0451rt\u0451n k\u0451rkuan lirimin nga internimi t\u0451 Preng Bib Dod\u0451s si kryetar i vendit dhe simbol i bashkimit t\u0451 12 bajrak\u0451ve, gj\u0451 q\u0451 u realizua. Me ardhjen e Preng Bib Dod\u0451s n\u0451 Mirdit\u0451, At Prend Do\u00e7i vazhdoi misionin e tij p\u0451r bashkimine forcave dhe shtimin e aleat\u0451ve t\u0451 kryengritjes. N\u0451 udh\u0451timet e tij zuri miq t\u0451 rinj e takoi miq t\u0451 shquar. N\u0451 takimin me Dede Gjo Lulin i tha me p\u0451rmalim: \u201cMos harroni se n\u0451 k\u0451to male as nuk \u0451sht\u0451 shuar dhe as nuk ka me u shue kurr\u0451 p\u0451r jet\u0451 e mot flaka e liris\u0451\u2026e p\u0451rderisa rron emri i Skenderbeut, t\u0451 cilin e d\u0451gjon kudo n\u0451 k\u0451to male, rron e ka me rrue Shqip\u0451ria\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Nd\u0451rkoh\u0451 nga Lezha eprori i tij, ipeshkv Mal\u00e7inskij, i b\u0451nte thirrje q\u0451 t\u0451 braktiste kryengritjen e t\u0451 kthehej n\u0451 krye t\u0451 detyr\u0451s kishtare. I z\u0451n\u0451 ngusht\u0451 midis detyr\u0451s fetare dhe asaj atdhetare ,Prend Do\u00e7i zgjodhi k\u0451t\u0451 t\u0451 fundit. Ipeshkv Mal\u00e7inskij e pezulloi nga puna. Ai raportonte se\u201dPrend Do\u00e7i nxiti rrebelimin n\u0451 Famulli, sillet n\u0451p\u0451r male me \u201ctrimat e tij, me bazhibozuk\u0451t e Preng Bib Dod\u0451s, p\u0451r t\u0451 ngritur popullin n\u0451n flamurin e vet\u2019. Autoritetet turke e shpall\u0451n \u201ct\u0451 jashtligjsh\u0451m\u201d me ferman nga sulltani . Por At Prend Do\u00e7i, edhe pas shtypjes s\u0451 kryengritjes, vazhdonte t\u0451 q\u0451ndronte maleve me bashk\u0451luft\u0451tar\u0451t e vet duke u dh\u0451n\u0451 zem\u0451r atyre, deri dit\u0451n q\u0451 u rrethua. Dhe at\u0451 moment i k\u0451rkoi komandantit turk q\u0451 t\u2019i lironte shok\u0451t e tij t\u0451 malit,se \u201c<em>ata an\u0451 sh\u0451rb\u0451tor\u0451t e mi e nuk kan\u0451 faj<\/em>\u2019. Ky gjest fisnik u shp\u00ebtoi atyre jet\u00ebn, kurse Prend Do\u00e7i , u p\u0451rcoll n\u0451 pranga n\u0451 Stamboll. At\u0451 koh\u0451 ishte vet\u0451m 31 vje\u00e7 . Kur e rrethuan, mund ta kishte ruajtur edhe nj\u0451 plumb p\u0451r veten q\u0451 t\u0451 mos dor\u0451zohej i gjall\u0451, por gjykoi q\u0451 n\u0451se do t\u0451 vdiste do t\u0451 linte misionin e tij t\u0451 pakryer. Ndaj tha bashk\u0451luft\u0451tar\u0451ve: \u201c<em>Burgu e ka nj\u0451 der\u0451, varri jo<\/em>\u201d. Prend Do\u00e7i, i dha atij nj\u0451 let\u0451r p\u0451r patriarkun katolik armen Stefan Azarjan q\u0451 ishte nj\u0451koh\u0451sisht edhe mik i Sulltanit. Patriarku s\u0451bashku me konsullin austro-hungarez mund\u0451n t\u0451 nxirrnin nga Sulltani dekretin p\u0451r lirimin e Prend Do\u00e7it nga burgu me kusht q\u0451 ai \u201d t\u0451 largohej menj\u0451her\u0451 jasht\u0451 kufij\u0451ve t\u0451 Perandoris\u0451 Osmane,e t\u0451 mos kthehej m\u0451 pa leje t\u0451 ve\u00e7ant\u0451 nga Porta e lart\u0451\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>K\u0451shtu vjeshta e vitit 1877 e gjeti Prend Docin mijra e mijra mile larg atdheut, n\u0451 nj\u0451 vend q\u0451 ndoshta as q\u0451 do t\u2019i kishte r\u0451n\u0451 nd\u0451rmend ndonj\u0451her\u0451. Fill pas lirimit nga burgu, i paligjshmi Prend Do\u00e7i i qe drejtuar Selis\u0451 s\u0451 Shejt\u0451 p\u0451r ndihm\u0451 p\u0451r bashk\u0451atdhetar\u0451t e vet, q\u0451 ata t\u0451 fillonin s\u0451rish veprimet luftarake kund\u0451r Turqis\u0451. Si p\u0451rgjigje, Kongregacioni i shejt\u0451 e nisi at\u0451 me detyr\u0451 kishtare n\u0451 St.John, Foundland, Kanada .<\/p>\n<p>Ishte i pari shqiptar q\u0451 shkeli kontinentin amerikan n\u0451 nj\u0451 nga pikat m\u0451 t\u0451 ftohta t\u0451 tij. Edhe n\u0451 kulmin e dimrit misionari shqiptar shkonte n\u0451 qendra pun\u0451tor\u0451sh dhe peshakatar\u0451sh dhe n\u0451p\u0451r fshatra, pasi u vinte rrath\u0451 k\u0451puc\u0451ve p\u0451r ta b\u0451r\u0451 m\u0451 t\u0451 leht\u0451 ecjen n\u0451p\u0451r d\u0451bor\u0451. Emri i Prend Do\u00e7it, meshtarit t\u0451 qytetit, p\u0451rmendej me respekt dhe u b\u0451 i njohur n\u0451 gazetat kanadeze t\u0451 asaj kohe. Shqip\u0451ri Pas 6 vjet\u0451sh nga dita q\u0451 vuri k\u0451mb\u0451n n\u0451 St.Johns b\u0451ri nj\u0451 p\u0451rpjekje p\u0451r t\u2019u kthyer n\u0451 atdhe, edhe pse e dinte se mbi emrin e tij r\u0451ndonte fermani i Sulltanit q\u0451 ia b\u0451nte t\u0451 pamundur kthimin. Njohja dhe shoq\u0451rimi me shqiptar\u0451t e Greqis\u0451 u pa me dyshim dhe ipeshkv Mal\u00e7inskij, i cili e ndiqte n\u0451 \u00e7do hap veprimtarin\u0451 e At Prend Do\u00e7it gjeti shkas p\u0451r ta akuzuar se ai ka d\u0451rguar udh\u0451zime n\u0451p\u0451r Mirdit\u0451 p\u0451r ta ngritur popullin n\u0451 kryengritje. Akuzat shkaktuan q\u0451 Selia e Shejt\u0451 ta d\u0451rgonte Prend Do\u00e7in nga Athina n\u0451 Bombei t\u0451 Indis\u0451. Sa m\u0451 larg atdheut!<\/p>\n<p>Gjith\u0451sesi, vitet n\u0451 Kanada dhe m\u0451 pas n\u0451 Bombei i dhan\u0451 Prend Do\u00e7it mund\u0451sin\u0451 p\u0451r t\u0451 njohur kulturat e popujve t\u0451 ndrysh\u0451m, m\u0451nyr\u0451n e jet\u0451s, por dhe m\u0451nyrat e qeverisjes.
