Q:\u00a0 How can a country like Albanian request from the U.S. support for long term, multiple-entry visas for Albanian citizens to enter the United States?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Currently, Albanians coming to the U.S. for business or tourism receive multiple-entry visas that are valid for one year.<\/p>\n

Q: How can this process would make it easier for Albanian citizens seeking to stay more than 90 days in the United States?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Officials from Customs and Border Protection at the port of entry determine how long a visitor can stay.\u00a0 This is separate from the visa issuance process.<\/p>\n

Q: How can the U.S. support efforts to facilitate legitimate trade and travel with Albania, and how will they work with allies in Congress towards this goal?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In January 2012, the President ordered us to build capacity, leverage resources, and improve the visa application and entry process for visitors from around the world.\u00a0 We are proud to have played a key role in facilitating travel for the approximately one-third of travelers to the United States each year that require a visa, all while upholding the highest standards of border security.\u00a0 In 2012, we issued more than 5,200 B1\/B2 visas to Albanian citizens.<\/p>\n

Q: How\u00a0 would Long-term, multiple-entry visas encourage more visits to Albania and allow those in U.S. Albanian communities to visit family members for an extended period of time with as little difficulty as possible?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is my understanding that U.S. citizens visiting Albania do not require a visa to stay for up to 90 days.\u00a0 You will have to contact the Albanian government for more information about entry requirements for U.S. citizens.<\/p>\n
