Darken miq\u00ebsore e hapi vatrani i vjeter, (ndon\u00ebse jo n\u00eb mosh\u00eb) Prof. Franz \u2013 Lleshi Grishaj, \u00a0i cili ia dha fjal\u00ebn Konsullit t\u00eb Nderit Ekrem Bardha. N\u00eb fjal\u00ebn e tij mir\u00ebseardh\u00ebse, ai uroj Kongresmenin q\u00eb t\u00eb ngjitet n\u00eb shkall\u00ebn e Senatorit, pasi kjo \u00ebsht\u00eb edhe deshira e shqiptar\u00ebve, si dhe premtoi ndihm\u00ebn q\u00eb do i jepnin shqiptar\u00ebt p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb arritje.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb takim kishte te ftuar nga shoqatat: \u201c Mal\u00ebsia e Madhe \u201c , \u201c Lidhja e Intelektualve\u201d \u201c Kastrati\u201d, \u201cKosova\u201d, \u201c Shoqata e Ndihm\u00ebs\u201d,\u00a0\u00a0 \u201c Vuksa\u00a0 Gela\u201d, \u201cQendraBallkanike\u201d etj\u2026\u00a0 si dhe disa nga aktivitst\u00ebt m\u00eb t\u00eb njohur t\u00eb komunitetit. Takimin e percollen edhe media te komunitetit si: ACTV p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsuar nga mjeshtri Paulin Palushi, Revista \u201c Kuvendi\u201d q\u00eb prej 12 vjetesh percjell aktivitetet ne komunitet dhe revista elektronike \u201cDrini\u201d, p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsuar nga pronari i saj Lush Popa. T\u00eb pranish\u00ebm ishin ga Familja Bardha, bashk\u00ebshortja Lumturi Bardha dhe e bija, aktivistja e njohur Donika Bardha. Dark\u00ebn e\u00a0 bekoi, Dom Ndue Gjergji, i cili edhe falenderoi Kongresmenin Peters per ndihmen q\u00eb u ka dh\u00ebn\u00eb dhe po u jep shqiptar\u00ebve, duke theksuar se edhe shqiptar\u00ebt do ta ndihmojn\u00eb at\u00eb, pasi ata nuk e harrojn\u00eb kurr\u00eb t\u00eb mir\u00ebn q\u00eb dikush u b\u00ebn\u00eb.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb takim ishin edhe\u00a0 bizn\u00ebsmen\u00ebt e njohur Agim Lumani, Paulo Shkreli, Bujar Shehu, Mondi Rakaj, Kujtim Qafa, Gjeto Ivezaj etj. Nj\u00eb informim t\u00eb shkurt\u00ebr rreth problemeve t\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebve n\u00eb p\u00ebrgjith\u00ebsi dhe\u00a0 se \u00e7far\u00eb ndihme mund t\u00eb jepte Peters e b\u00ebri, vatrani dhe aktivisti i Kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Palit, Prof. Franz – Lleshi Grishaj. Sekretai i\u00a0 Deg\u00ebs s\u00eb Vatr\u00ebs, Mondi Rakaj e ftoi Kongresmenin Peters n\u00eb dasm\u00ebn e\u00a0 tij. N\u00eb fjal\u00ebn e tij Kongresmeni Peters falenderoi Bardh\u00ebn, i cili e kishte ftuar n\u00eb em\u00ebr t\u00eb disa miq\u00ebve\u00a0 p\u00ebr nj\u00eb dark\u00eb me ta, por miqt\u00eb e\u00a0 Ekremit dhe t\u00eb mijt\u00eb jan\u00eb gjithnj\u00eb t\u00eb shumt\u00eb n\u00eb gjith\u00eb teritorin e\u00a0 Michiganit. Shqiptar\u00ebt dhe Shqip\u00ebrin\u00eb i njoh n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet z. Bardha, i cili m\u00eb ka afruar shum\u00eb m\u00eb tep\u00ebr me ta, – tha Kongresmeni. E di se nj\u00eb nga problemet q\u00eb u shqet\u00ebson m\u00eb shum\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb emigracioni, i cili dal\u00ebngadal\u00eb po shkon drejt zgjidhjes ligjore. E ndjej k\u00ebt\u00eb problem, pasi edhe n\u00ebna ime ka q\u00ebn\u00eb\u00a0 emigrante nga Franca dhe t\u00eb gjith\u00eb kan\u00eb vuajtur n\u00eb fillimet e tyre. Gj\u00ebja m\u00eb e bukur\u00a0 q\u00eb mund t\u00eb ndjej secili amerikan, \u00ebsht\u00eb prania e dy Flamujve n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri. Un\u00eb do t\u2019i kem\u00eb n\u00eb v\u00ebmndje shqiptar\u00ebt\u00a0 kudo q\u00eb t\u00eb jen\u00eb dhe do p\u00ebrpiqem me t\u00eb gjitha mund\u00ebsit\u00eb, q\u00eb problemet e tyre t\u00eb vijn\u00eb p\u00ebrher\u00eb duke u zvog\u00ebluar. Do k\u00ebrkojm\u00eb p\u00ebr shqiptar\u00ebt n\u00eb Mal t\u00eb Zi, Maqedoni, Greqi dhe Serbi q\u00eb t\u2019i g\u00ebzojn\u00eb t\u00eb gjitha t\u00eb drejtat e tyre q\u00eb u japin konventat nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare.<\/p>\n

Alfons Grishaj k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb ngriheshin\u00a0 n\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00eb e t\u00eb \u00e7onin njw dolli p\u00ebr Gary Peters, mikun ton\u00eb t\u00eb mir\u00eb, duke e falenderuar p\u00ebr aktivitetin e tij n\u00eb t\u00eb mir\u00eb t\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebve.<\/p>\n

M\u00eb pas , gjat\u00eb dark\u00ebs, t\u00eb pranishmit paten rastin t\u00eb b\u00ebjn\u00eb\u00a0 disa pyetje dhe t\u00eb marrin p\u00ebrgjigje t\u00eb drejt\u00ebp\u00ebrdrejta nga Kongresmeni. Pyetje, sugjerime dhe p\u00ebrsh\u00ebndetje b\u00ebn\u00eb: Ndue Ivanaj, Nikoll\u00eb Vneshta, Mark Prela Gjokaj, Martin Ulaj, Lush Popa, Gjovalin Ka\u00e7orri, Mondi Rakaj, Merushe Lumaj, Gjeto Ivezaj, Kujtim Me\u00e7e. Kujtim Qafa, nj\u00eb nd\u00ebr aktivist\u00ebt e njohur t\u00eb k\u00ebtij komuniteti, nd\u00ebr t\u00eb tjera theksoi: \u201c T\u00eb jemi mir\u00ebnjoh\u00ebs p\u00ebr pranin\u00eb tuaj n\u00eb mesin ton\u00eb dhe krenar p\u00ebr miq\u00ebsin\u00eb e sukseset tuaja. Shqiptar\u00ebt e kan\u00eb merituar\u00a0 dhe\u00a0 e meritojn\u00eb lirin\u00eb dhe t\u00eb drejtat e tyre e, sidomos v\u00ebmendjen e nj\u00eb vendi mik si Amerika, t\u00eb cilen e p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsoni den\u00ebjsisht Ju. Bardha \u00ebsht\u00eb miku Juaj dhe yni, ai ka nj\u00eb titull nderi q\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb fare pak, krahasuar me pun\u00ebn\u00a0 q\u00eb ka b\u00ebr\u00eb p\u00ebr Shqip\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe Kosov\u00ebn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kryetari i Shoqatws \u201c Mal\u00ebsia e Madhe\u201d, Pashko Gjokaj i dor\u00ebzoi Kongresmenit Peters disa pyetje me shkrim, p\u00ebr t\u00eb cilat\u00a0 k\u00ebrkoi t\u2019i p\u00ebrgjigjej me shkrim.<\/p>\n

Poashtu edhe Kongresmeni i falnderoi zotin Bardha, Grishaj dhe Deg\u00ebn e \u201cVatr\u00ebs\u201d p\u00ebr dark\u00ebn miq\u00ebsore q\u00eb e kishin organizuar n\u00eb nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb till\u00eb si Kisha e Shen Palit dhe me miq si Bardha, Don Fran Kola e shum\u00eb t\u00eb njohur t\u00eb tjer\u00eb. Elinda Marku e falenderoi\u00a0 Kongresmenin Peters per fjal\u00ebn e ndjeshme q\u00eb mbajti n\u00eb 100 vjetorin e\u00a0 Pavar\u00ebsis\u00eb, fjal\u00eb q\u00eb buronin\u00a0 nga dashuria q\u00eb ai ka p\u00ebr shqiptar\u00ebt. Veteran\u00ebt Julian \u00c7efa dhe Vasel Ujkaj pat\u00ebn rastin t\u00eb bisedonin konkretisht dhe t\u00eb p\u00ebrshendeteshin me Kongresmenin.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, it is an honor that has been bestowed upon me by Fr. Frane Kola, administrator of St. Paul\u2019s Albanian Catholic Church, and Mr. Alfons Grishaj,President of the oldest Albanian organization in the Unites States \u2013 VATRA, Pan Albanian Federation of America \u2013 Michigan Branch, as I say a few words of St. Paul\u2019s and VATRA Michigan branch.<\/p>\n

Congressman Peters, we are grateful that you made yourself available to our community as we truly want to take this opportunity to whole heartedly thank you for all that you have done, and we anticipate you will continue to do, not only for the United States of Americabut also for the Albanians.<\/p>\n

As naturalized citizens of the United States, we support your effects for the working middle class, wecheeredas you became an instrumental force behind President Obama’s effort to save the auto industry, which to our community, is a vital economic reality, and we anticipate a just immigration policy.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, as sons and daughters of Ethnic Albania, what has earned you the respect, honor, and loyalty of our people is your sincere voice on behalf of the ethnic Albanians in Montenegro and Kosova. Representative Peters, there are many things that I can say. However, as it not my intention to monopolize the microphone, since others also want to acknowledge your contributions, allow me to mention only a few. Therefore, let me remind our community how you along with the dynamic duo of the Levin brothers supported the legitimate efforts of the Albanian-American Association \u201cMalesia e Madhe\u201d and sent then Secretary of State, Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton, a joint letter concerning the ill-treatment of our people living on their ancestral lands but unfortunately under Montenegro jurisdiction. As you urged the Department of State to \u201cpress the government in Podgorica to take concrete steps toward the equitable treatment of ethnic Albanians in Montenegro.\u201d And if I may Congressman Peters, without sounding repetitive, these are Albanians living on Albanian land and not Slavic territory.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, I am obliged to mention how you addressed your colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives with the following words on behalf of Kosova and our community, \u201cAs a sovereign, independent state, Kosova deserves the right to protect its citizens and patrol its border. I strongly support Kosova for maintaining control over its border with Serbia \u2026 I am proud to represent a large and vibrant community of Kosovar Americans in southeast Michigan \u2026 Kosova deserves to be a player on the world state and I stand with their freedom-loving people who thirst for true independence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Congressman Peters, allow me to also reiterate these words, that profoundly resonated in our minds and hearts, as you so eloquently declared with our community during the, commemoration of the 100th<\/sup> Anniversary of the Independence of Albania at St. Paul\u2019s Albanian Catholic Church, \u201cThe community\u2019s continued efforts to aid Albanians in Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosova and Albania \u2013 and indeed throughout the world \u2013 are truly remarkable. I applaud you for your commitment to your brothers and sisters back home. Like all of you, I am committed to fight for Kosova\u2019s true independence, which means full acceptance into the international community\u2026 We must also insure that Albanians living in Montenegro enjoy full rights legal and civil.\u201d<\/p>\n

These words, with all due respect, arenot words of politician expediency spoken by a mere politician. Instead, Istrongly believe that they are words spoken from the heart of a dear and sincere friend of the Albanians! Therefore,we also acknowledge your efforts as remarkable and applaud your service as we pledge that we are also proud of our association with you, and will continue to stand with you, as friends and constituents,if it be your wish, we will support you in your efforts of becoming the next U.S. Senator of the Great Wolverine State as another dear friend, Senator Carl Levin, has decided not to run for reelection. Thus, I declare, how proper and fitting, that you occupy his seat and began your own legacy in the U.S. Senate as a champion of ordinary Americans and a friend of the Albanians.<\/p>\n
